EasyMap is a project for the Sustainable Design course at the China Academy of Art. It’s a souvenir design for Hangzhou, retaining the primary function of the tourist map. The main material is called rPET, which is recycled from PET bottles. When chemically recycled, the PET flakes are broken down into the base chemical molecule, which then goes back into the original polyester manufacturing system. Through this project, we expect that the sustainable concept can be brought into the business model of the EasyMap, and enable more people to take part in the environmental protection activities.
