Solar Terms Lab is a concept for the workshop New Food Business, organized by the China Academy of Art with the Central Academy of Fine Arts. A solar term is any of twenty-four periods in traditional Chinese lunisolar calendars that matches a particular astronomical event or signifies some natural phenomenon. Solar Terms Lab is a concept aiming to provide consumers with a new kitchen experience different from the home kitchen. It is a micro-community integrating farm, retail, kitchen, restaurant, activity center to provide solar-term food processing and tasting service. It opens different experience areas with the seasons changing, aiming to provide people with a platform to deeply experience the solar-term culture.
