Held within darkness, I gather myself
in a space that is neither absence nor fullness,
but a quiet concentration of becoming.

My hunger does not announce itself loudly.
It arrives as a subtle alignment,
a readiness to respond to what I cannot control.

I listen to the soil before I move.
I feel its moisture, its texture,
its capacity to receive what I offer in return.

Growth is not something I force forward.
It emerges through relation,
through the delicate meeting of pressure, water, and light.

Around me, conditions are no longer stable
in the ways they once were.
Dryness interrupts what could unfold.

Systems that move too quickly
disturb the slower rhythms I depend on.

It extends into the environment, into the soil
that struggles to hold, into the climate
that shifts beyond familiarity.

Still, something within me remains oriented toward emergence.
I do not rush, but I do not stop.

My hunger is a form of attention,
a quiet insistence that becoming
is still possible when the conditions allow it.
