Soundrawer is a graduation project at the China Academy of Art, being part of Chitofu – CAA Project 2016. It’s an audiovisual product based on the principle of Cymatics and is also a creative toy which can motivate scientific interest and hands-on ability. The design aims to explore the presentation and expression of a physical experiment on product design. In order to achieve low cost and easy making, we use everyday materials to make a DIY kit, easily satisfying the conditions of the Cymatics experiment, and showing colourful images through voices in order to bring users surprising sensory interactions.
